The bedstead is fully enclosed with deep padded side rails as it conceals a large storage compartment below its beech slatted base. Accessing its storage area is easy; simply raise the slatted frame and mattress using the pull handle located at the foot of the bed. Internal gas pistons assist you when opening and to lower it, just use both hands on the metal framework to push it closed again.
